Re-formed in 2019, The Wiring Harness Company is a small, family run business producing Wiring Harnesses for the classic motor trade, offering a personal and enthusiastic service to assist with your restoration or recomissioning of any classic vehicle.

Adam, who does all of the manufacturing, has a lengthy background with vintage and classic cars, having grown up with a 1930’s OHC MG in the family, and, once able to drive, acquired an Austin 7 to use in Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) events. Adam formed the Company in 2019, having previously worked at both Auto Electric Supplies and Holden Vintage & Classic.

Tania, who looks after the paperwork, accounts and website side of things, has a history of Motorsport Marshalling, having served as a VSCC Volunteer in a myriad of roles, as well as helping out at many Midland Hillclimb Events. Tania’s ‘dayjob’ is as Club Secretary at the Vintage Sports Car Club, managing the Office and day to day running of the Club.

The origins of the Company go back many years, the business being started and built up by Peter Newall in Castle Donington, Derbyshire. Prior to our relaunch of The Wiring Harness Company, using all of the infrastructure acquired from the previous business, everything was moved to rural Herefordshire and installed in a building adapted to give the space required for the assembly benches, braiding machines etc, as well as space to work on a vehicle if required.

The Company holds an extensive library of drawings and patterns to manufacture wiring harnesses, together with a similarly sized collection of original Lucas vehicle wiring diagrams.

Should we not have a pattern for your vehicle, we are happy to manufacture a wiring harness to an original pattern, on the basis that it is in a suitable condition to provide a reference, or in some cases some of the hard to find or source components.

We do not undertake to re-wire vehicles but can offer several options via Trade contacts to facilitate this if required, thus being able to provide a service from the manufacture of the wiring harness, right up to full installation and commissioning of the finished article. Please contact us to discuss this aspect of your project.
